The Fund
Our process is simple.
Members purchase shares of the Fund, which then lends the money out to borrowers or purchases existing notes. The loans to borrowers are secured against the borrower’s equity per the loan terms and conditions set forth in the PPM. Over time, APEX uses a well qualified loan servicer to collect the borrowers monthly payments and then returns those payments to our investors each quarter (or we can reinvest those quarterly payments for further growth).
We manage this process day to day in order to achieve our key goals.
Low Volatility
Returns are consistent and direct, based on a pre-defined schedule with very little variance.
Preservation of Capital
Capital is secured by real-estate collateral, historically a very stable asset.

When investing with Apex Note Fund, LLC (“Apex”), you join a seasoned team of mortgage professionals with significant experience in the trust deed/mortgage investment world.
Investing in this asset class reduces many of the traditional costly barriers, including the amount of capital required and the time necessary to locate and manage these investments. While each transaction is unique, we are guided by a set of predetermined underwriting criteria developed over many years to assist us in structuring good loan transactions.
Apex offers an alternative asset class investment opportunity that generates income backed by real estate in a very transparent way.
Our priority is capital preservation and we achieve this with strong underwriting procedures and focus on diversifying our portfolio among a wide variety of loan types and locations not generally available in this asset class.
About Us
The fund manager.
Years of experience with alternative asset class funds.
Mr. Feitshans has been active in the real estate lending industry for over 30 years in various capacities as a real estate lawyer, loan underwriter and advisor to various family offices regarding their real estate investment portfolios. With extensive experience in residential and commercial lending, he has been very active with investment advisors and family offices throughout the U.S. in the private money industry seeking to build alternative investment portfolios. Additionally, he oversees the areas of loan servicing, asset management and resolution, note purchases, construction lending and real estate property management.
Mr. Feitshans practiced law for over 20 years in the areas of intellectual property, entertainment and real estate finance and was actively involved in negotiating large financial transactions with financial institutions, including revolving lines of credit and various types of structured loan financings, and he has held multiple management positions at various companies. He has worked in Europe and Asia on various business projects and traveled extensively to diverse locations throughout the world. He is a graduate of UCLA and Southwestern University School of Law, a long-time member of the California Mortgage Association, and is a frequent expert witness on real estate matters. On a personal level, he is very active with single-family and multi-family property real estate acquisition and management.

The property is located close to our main office and offered a great yield with 3 months of prepaid interest. The senior lien has a low interest rate and is easily manageable.

This loan was great for a few reasons. The Loan to Value was extremely low at 25% and located in a highly desirable location not too far from our office. 12 months of payments were paid up front to start the loan office with great performance. The borrower’s mid credit scores are 734 and 751 and had never missed a payment on their other home loan.
